King me, please: The Behemoth reveal new Castle Crashers figure

king-prototype.jpg

Joining the lineup of The Behemoth's extensive collection of vinyl figures: Castle Crashers' King, quite possibly my favorite if only because I've always been a big believer in the "one big tooth" (or three, if you've got them to spare) theory of character design.

Direct from Frolic: Robb Waters' Sander Cohen BioShock figure

sanderfig.jpg

I've honestly never been able to get my head fully around the inner-workings of on-demand toy manufacturer Patch Together, but what I'm pretty sure of is that with enough "likes", Robb Waters' official Sander Cohen figure (easily the most unforgettable character in 2K's original BioShock) could be put up for sale in limited numbers.

That, or the site's simply showing a gallery of the limited run 2K Boston head Ken Levine had created as gifts for studio staff in early August.

As I try to work this all out, just know 2K/Patch: I would very much like one of these on my desk.

Meet the Action Figures: Jacob Norad's Team Fortress 2 customs

tf2jacob.JPG

Jacob Norad's got some unbelievable work going on over at his blog showing you how he's piecing together the entire set of custom Team Fortress 2 figures, which have needed to be actual collectibles for like two years now.

BOY, 'nip'd: how to make your own Noby Noby Boy cat toy

nobycat.jpg

Presumably this'll work just as well as a toy for your favorite non-feline as well, but over on the official PlayStation Europe messageboard, forum member pudgeeagogo has posted full instructions to knit up your own catnip-drenched Noby Noby BOY, if you can stomach the horror of seeing his innocent little •.• face getting mercilessly torn at by your pet's razor-toothed maw.

The instructions are embedded under the jump, as well, only because I'm terrified the thread will one day disappear and all this hard-won knowledge will go with it. [via Gus]

A ghost in the hand: Matt Hawkins' Paper-Pac

pacmanpapercraft.jpg

This one, unfortunately, is for looking but not touching only, with no accompanying PDF pattern: Matt Hawkins, one of the papercrafting niche's most accomplished designers (and creator of the official Urban Paper book) does Pac-Man in his signature Kricfalusi-an over-exaggerated style, and we'll just ignore the glaring "yeah, but, how did he swallow a non-blue ghost" discrepancy.

Hawkins says the piece will be part of the 80's Saturday morning cartoon inspired "We'll Be Right Back... After These Messages" art show at Columbus, Ohio designer toy shop/gallery space Rivet, opening August 1st and running through the rest of the month (with additional art by Double Fine's frequently featured Scott C).

Ruler of all home-crafts: Louisa Giffard's hand-rolled Rolando 2 toys

rolando2toys.jpg

From the patchwork workshop of Louisa Giffard: a collection of characters from Hand Circus's Rolando 2:

From left to right; the Floating Friend, Lord Derby Disraeli (royal treasurer), the King rolando, Major James Cardigan (royal spiky commando), Turgut Reiss (reformed pirate) and Mr Scruff, the DJ who made the music for the game.

I believe an Etsy outlet is in order. [via Mikko Walamies]

Papercraft for the rest of us: Cubecraft's paper NES

nescubecraft.png

If you're as frequently intimidated by the finger-jamming origami complexity of some of the papercraft we regularly feature: here's one for you, a no-muss Nintendo Entertainment System, released by Cubecraft for no apparent reason, but useful, the site says, as a replacement head for any of their more traditional models.
