I was just dreaming: LucasArts unveils XBLA/PC puzzle platformer Lucidity

As teased earlier in the week, LucasArts has just revealed Lucidity, its latest game due for Xbox Live Arcade and PC release on October 7th. Developed by the team behind the recent original Monkey Island remake, the game sees players going inside the imagination of main star Sofi, who (as is instantly clear via the video above) must be protected, Lemmings style, by dropping randomly generated puzzle pieces on the path in front of her.

Below the fold: a gallery of high-res screens of Sofi's fantastically drawn dreamscapes.

The game looks absolutely gorgeous, but I have to say, the gameplay seems mind-numbingly and mind-bogglingly boring.

I totally agree with IVANSAFRIN, I know its just a preview but the whole thing looks waaaay to slow.

It looks like that level in the video is the first in the game, there's always the chance it speeds up and becomes a little more complex later on...

Looks great, hope it doesn't disappoint.

Pretty much what the other guys said. As much as I'm happy that LucasArts are going back to their roots and as impressed as I am with the visuals, the gameplay looks like Lemmings without the fun. I really hope I'm wrong.
