Claim: Nasty Evony ads merely top of the sleazeberg
Evony, a Civilization-style strategy game, is notorious for its crude non-sequitur of an ad campaign: random buxom women in suggestive scenarios, none of which have anything to do with the title. It turns out that the company behind it is a litigation troll. [Valleywag]. According to Bruce Everiss, these include plagiarism, association with gold-farmers, getting sued by for click fraud, gaming Google's ad system, and a relentless deluge of spam.
The best part is how Evony's lawsuit threat neatly summarizes the complaints against it in most convincing fashion.
Alternative headline: "Sue now, my lord!"
Update: An interesting post at qt3 suggest Everiss is right about the ads, but has a gift for exaggeration when it comes to the supposed malware.

The last of the five ads there (from the first link - and I actually had to check the other links to verify that that's actually a real ad!) makes me both happy and sad that I got AdBlock Plus: Good because I don't suddenly get surprise!NSFW moments at the wrong times, bad because... I don't suddenly get surprise!NSFW moments the rest of the time. ;)

This is one of those games where you can play for free, but you can spend real cash money to buy material advantages in-game.
