Olly Moss's Penguin-inspired Videogame Classics covers

zeldahelvetica.jpgLike AtomicToy's Dude-A-Day project, I happened across designer Olly Moss's fantastic Swiss-inspired movie posters last week and wondered what he might come up with in the games realm, and now I see I didn't have to wonder long.

Taking a cue from classic Penguin book covers, I'd like to think Moss's newly created 'Triforce on the brain' Zelda cover and his 'projectile dysfunction' Goldeneye design would have brought a happy twinkle to Germano Facetti's eye.

I love these (and Swiss graphic design in general, hail the mighty grid!) That Zelda cover is truly inspired. (Olly also did those t-shirts and stuff.)

some people have the wrong end of the stick! On the main BB http://www.boingboing.net/2009/01/19/today-on-offworld-24.html It sounds like these Penguin-style covers are Swiss, and doesn't mention Penguin, I guess that's what zuzu read! And maybe Germano Facetti would be proud, as he was Penguin's design head at the time, but he didn't design that style, Romek Marber did!
