Olly Moss brings a touch of class to Black Mesa

The latest in Olly Moss's Penguin-inspired Videogame Classics series distills Freeman's essence, rightly, as a game about "crowbars and teleporting." My favorite part (having briefly moved away from the N64 now) is the top-left iconography showing the platform where the game originated.
One of my most heartfelt 2009 wishes: that Moss continue this as a regularly updated set.

I call shenanigans. These are a poor stylistic and thematic ripoff of Spacesick. All artists borrow, surely, but this seems too close.

Anon: No shenanigans at all, but conjuring Spacesick is right on the money.
If you want to trace the lineage, it goes like this: Olly kicked things off late last year with his 8 Films in Black and Red set that he chipped away at through January.
Spacesick digs the hell out of them and starts his own movie book set in open reaction to Moss. Moss makes good on his long-time pledge to do the game series.
Lots of love and beautiful design occurs! Definitely not a case of the 'you thought we wouldn't notice.'

Yup yup! Brandon knows all. Lots of all. Also, Moss is the bomb. Also, I am the bomb as well.
