Left 4k Dead: Left 4 Dead in 4KB of Java

Picture 42.jpg

I had a little difficulty snapping a screenshot without pixelized zombie abstractions sucking the filling out of my intestines, but no matter: this Java tribute to Valve's Left 4 Dead executed in less than 4Kb of code is unbelievably awesome.

Damn, now even 4K of Java can have bragging rights over Resident Evil 5's stop & shoot gameplay.

Oh, and remember - it's not the size of the code that matters.

4k of Zombie blasting awesome-ness, now that's some slim coding.
I thought that had all gotten left behind back in the days of CD-rom games.
Nice perspective work with the hallways too.

GREAT!!!

The move/shoot balance is spot on, and aim/shoot/run is always a good game signifier :)

YAY!

Man, Valve should use this as a loading game! But doesn't one company own the rights for them or something?

It's true -- Namco holds the patent for using minigames during loading screens.
