Black Mesa in motion
The week's off to a good start: as promised, mod team Black Mesa Modification has shown off the first trailer for their original Half-Life remake, which is shaping up better than we could've imagined.

Looks amazing. It would be nice to see this on 360 in a package deal like they did with Episode 2. Maybe the Half-Life Remake coupled with Still Alive and Day of Defeat, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

I'd be incredibly surprised if this ever made it to the console market. Which is a shame because d*mn it looks beautiful.
I want to keep my eye on these developers because clearly they have talent.

I always think that I haven't beaten Half-Life only to remember that I had and that the whole end sequence and ending were a letdown of fairly epic proportions compared to the rest of the game.

@Agies...I remember thinking the same thing the very first time through. But after having played it through a second time, and playing (and finishing) the sequel and following Episodes, I was satisfied with the ending.
It works better within the series as a whole than it does as just the ending to the first game.

Is anyone else really surprised that Valve hasn't bought these guys yet?

I like their reworking of the exterior shots - that was always a bit of a letdown in the original - all that mist in the desert?
