Bedroom, are you ready to rock?: Dead Kennedys edition

dkslive.jpg

Though I'm sure there's no way I'll be able to nail Jello Biafra's tight-throated warble, there still beats a sliver of my idealistic 15 year old heart that was born ready to snarl my way through Rock Band's just-released Dead Kennedys pack ("California Über Alles," "Holiday in Cambodia," and "Police Truck"), which will surely be the game's most-bleeped release to date.

Other releases this week include a Mission of Burma pack ("That's When I Reach For My Revolver," "Mica," and "That's How I Escaped My Certain Fate"), the Century Media Girls of Metal Pack 01 ("Closer" and "Swamped" by Lacuna Coil, and "Forever" by In This Moment) and Crooked X's "Gone."

This sounds inviting. Any idea what platform this version of Rock Band is available for?

Unfortunately, the nerdier a Boing Boing byproduct blog gets, the more you might have to keyword posts, with such invogorating keywords as:

PC
Mac
Xbox
Xbox Live
PS2
PS3
PSP
DS
iPhone
etcetera

A snicker at the first bb blog to ask for email on anon posts, to keep the platform fanboi wars at bay. I don't think BB readers are likely to fall to such partisan antics though.

I thought this was great until I remembered how much fun it was to actually play Dead Kennedy's songs with my band in high school.

To respond to the above -

As of this weekend, both Rockband and Rockband 2 are available on the XBOX 360, Playstation 3 and Wii.

So far as I know, those are the only platforms.

Also, Holiday in Cambodia was included on Guitar Hero 3. They didn't bleep out the words, so much as they used different one. But if this is a more officially licensed version using the original master tracks, that may not be an option.
