Offworld BBtv premiere: What's Offworld?
After an oxygen fire knocked our interstellar video link temporarily out of commission, we bring you our Boing Boing TV premiere via Azeroth, where my spiritual Death Knight equal gives you a little background on where we're is coming from and where I hope to steer the ship. As usual, here's the direct MP4 link, if you prefer a downloadable rather than the Flash.
Offworld bonus fact: in real life, my eyes and sword glow a much more vivid shade of blue. That is indeed, though, almost exactly how I shake a tail feather.

you need the epic bg music following you around IRL too. it'd help emphasize the dreamy blue eyes.

Great introduction to what could possibly be my new favorite blog. (And as everyone knows, a new favorite blog comes around once every 23 seconds these days.)
So keep up the good work and maybe I'll stick around for a minute or two more. And maybe, just maybe, Offworld will in fact become a serious contender for blog I need to check ruthlessly to avoid work on a regular basis.
Also, any chance of getting a posting date/time stamp on the entries? Those things help me not to freak out in some weird way.

Great introductory video! especially the dramatic music over the conversational voiceover. I can't wait to see how this blog evolves.

What an amazing idea for a gaming blog. The content already stands out as unique and offbeat: something that's been lacking in our niche. Kudos!

It took me a long time to focus in on why i liked this video. At first I thought it might be the essay nature and how it seems to want to talk about deeper meaning in games. And that's true... but I think it's really just because you used a Gnome. I'm also a gnome and we get such crap that it's good to see a gnome in the spotlight :)

OffWorld is right ON!
Now there's a place for not only Gnomes, but Goblins, Fairies, Saints, Shamen (Shawomen, too of course!), and other Game-Makers and Players that don't fit into mainstream commercial gameplay.
Best wishes in your opening gambit, OffWorld !

I agree with you on every front-video games are frequently under-appreciated and need to be discussed! as a long time gamer nerd, i say that you're site has charmed me

Hello Offworld! I am happy to see something like this cropping up on BoingBoing, it will certainly fill out my days a bit better.
And possibly get me to comment more often -- since it'll fill in a gap in my day and possibly short circuit my automatic-shy.

i love seeing a gnome death knight being so conversational while walking around all that horrendous stuff.

In 2004-5 I mixed the audio and did voices for a show called "Portal" on the G4 Network. This reminds me of that. I think it was one of the first shows to use MMORPG footage to tell a story. You should contact Dave Meinstein, and see if you can put them up on BBTV.
